If you're looking for an affordable getaway to leave the city behind and you're done with Nagarkot and the other expensive choices, then this is the place for you! We had a quiet weekend because a wedding had just taken place the day before so the place was empty and it was very relaxing and quiet. We got rooms in the new area which is what I can comment on. I have no reference from the old area or crowdy days. We got beautiful views through our balconies although the weather was very cloudy and we couldn't see beyond the hills. The rooms were clean and well equipped with AC, sofa, comfortable beds, a small tv, etc. My only complain about the room is that the double bed was not yet a Queen size so it was not comfortable or big enough for 2 adults plus a kid; we definitely couldn't share it without feeling jammed. We loved the pool and the garden areas, there are so many places to go to and walk. Although this pool does not have a heater, it gets perfectly warmed after noon. About the food, if you've visited another luxury hotels in Nepal before you might be surprised that although the menu is buffet style, it's either fully nepali, or fully indian, or just american, but you don't get to have the three options at the same time; or you may not have the option between choosing from 4 different types of meat but just two, plus a vegetarian. You don't get a full dessert bar to choose from either. So if you're foreigner and are very picky with the local food and don't have an appetite for that then you might feel unsatisfied or disappointed. The menu cart option is always available but not included in the hotel package. But what I can truly praise is Mr Drona Acharya's effort to make us feel comfortable all the time, going over for the schedule the day before to serve our meals, and asking our preferences about what they should prepare for the next day. He also offered my kids complementary juice on our last day and offered to assist us in any way he could. Keep on the bright side that even though this may not be a luxury 5 stars meal, the taste is pretty good on local food and the creamy chicken they prepare is truly tasty. The key word for this hotel is Affordable, so don't try to compare it to other luxury places that you've been before because this may not be that kind of place. We're very happy with the time spent there and we'll recommend it to others. Enjoy!
